Five checks before you install
| Question | Useful evidence | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Who published it? | A publisher-controlled source connected to the package | A copied logo or familiar name can mislead. |
| Is this the same file? | SHA-256 compared to a trusted reference | A hash is not a malware or legal check. |
| Who signed it? | Signature verification and trusted signing history | A valid signature can belong to an untrusted signer. |
| What does it request? | Manifest and runtime permission review | Permissions alone do not show all app behaviour. |
| Is the game model permitted? | Current official rules and the actual app’s features | A card-game title cannot establish legal status. |
Keep these questions separate. Passing one does not answer the others. A test report should identify the exact binary and describe the test date, device, method and limitations.
Hash matching is a byte comparison
Two files with the same SHA-256 are treated as matching for a practical integrity check. But a malicious file can also have a perfectly reproducible hash. A reference copied from the same untrusted mirror does not give you an independent reason to trust the file.
Review requests in context
A permission may be appropriate for one feature and excessive for another. Read the app’s publisher policy and only enable features you intend to use. Do not grant accessibility control or device administrator access because an install tutorial asks for it.
Keep Android protections enabled. If a warning blocks installation, preserve the message and seek verified support. Do not treat a tutorial’s success screenshot as a reason to override your own device.
Game safety includes the money model
A virtual-chip interface can look like a cash-game interface. Check whether deposits, withdrawals, money stakes or redeemable winnings are involved. This guide supports education and non-money entertainment, not online money gaming.
India’s government states that the 2025 online gaming law prohibits online money games, their promotion and payment facilitation. Do not rely on older “skill game” articles or a disclaimer as permission. Read the dated India source notice.
If you suspect a harmful APK
Stop interacting with the file. Do not pay a person who promises to unlock the app or remove a warning. Follow your device’s security guidance, and use the verified publisher or relevant official support channels. If you shared credentials, secure the affected account through its genuine service.
Record the source and file hash when safe to do so. Redact personal details before reporting. This website cannot remotely inspect your phone or recover a third-party game account.
